FAQ
Immanuel Lutheran Church is an LCMS (Lutheran Church Missouri Synod) congregation located in Hewitt, WI.

What does LCMS mean?
The word “Synod” in The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod comes from Greek words that mean “walking together.” The term has rich meaning in our church body because congregations voluntarily choose to belong to the Synod.
Though diverse in their service, our congregations hold to a shared confession of Jesus Christ as taught in Holy Scripture and the Lutheran Confessions.

Lutheran congregations are confessional. Our congregations believe the Lutheran Confessions are a correct interpretation and presentation of biblical doctrine.

What happens during the Worship Service?
You can find an order of service on the table in the Narthex (next to the front door). Hymnals are available in each pew. Simply follow along with the service - the pastor will guide the congregation as needed. We'll sing hymns, listen to passages from The Bible, hear the pastor's sermon, pray, take Holy Communion, and confess our sins collectively.

If you'd like to view a service before attending, please feel welcome to visit our YouTube channel and click on "Live" to see services.

Our church is wheelchair accessible and equipped with a hearing loop for the hard-of-hearing.
Are visitors and guests Welcome?
