FAMILY MINISTRY

The objective of the Family Ministry Group is to involve all members and non-members of our church who are willing to serve the Lord.  To find strength and encouragement in our walk with Jesus.  Touch the lives of many including the needy, sick, lonely, prisoners, etc.  Follow scripture verses from Matthew 25: 34-36.

The goals of this group are to become missionaries in our church and community by serving the Lord through prayer ministry, greeting card ministry, food ministry, fund raisers for the needy, volunteering to help others and visiting shut-ins.  The group also sponsors "The Giving Tree" which provide hats, scarves, mittens, gloves, underwear, sweatpants, t-shirts and socks to students of area elementary schools.  Each month items are gathered by the congregation for various area charities and are then delivered by the ministry members.

The Family Ministry Group meets every 3rd Thursday of the month at 10:00am in the Church's Fellowship Hall.

LADIES AID

Immanuel Lutheran Ladies Aid Group was first organized on March 4, 1915 and has been an active part of the church since that time. In 1948 the group voted to join the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and at that time one of their mission projects was the use of the “Mite Box”. Those little boxes are still being used today with the “mites” collected being used to support mission projects in the North Wisconsin District and throughout the world.

With the use of various fund raisers and dues, many projects have been undertaken and paid for by the Ladies Aid, such as the purchase of furniture for the church, furnishings for the kitchen and dining room, sponsoring of Ministry students from the congregation, serving meals for funerals, to name a few. Recently the group has been involved in a clothing drive and the assembly of layettes for the Orphan Grain Train with plans for other mission projects in the future. All this being done to the glory of God for His continued goodness and blessings received throughout the years.

The Ladies Aid Group meets every 1st Thursday of the month at 12:00 noon, with the exception of January, in the Church's Fellowship Hall.

ADULT CHOIR

Our Adult Choir consists of people of all ages who meet every Monday evening from 6:00pm to 7:00pm.  We do take a break during the summer months, to give everyone in choir a change to enjoy God's good earth.  God has given us the gift of song, so come rejoice with us.

"Come, let us sing for the joy to the Lord; let us shout to the Rock of our salvation." - Psalms 95:1

"Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things; his right hand and holy arm have worked salvation for him. Shout for the joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music." - Psalms 98: 1 and 4

BELL CHOIR

Our "Bell-eivers" bell choir is made up of 3rd through 7th graders.  This gives them an opportunity to learn notes and to keep the beat.  They have a lot of fun learning new songs.  The Bell Choir practices after Sunday School on Sunday mornings from 11:00am to 11:45am.

"Praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe.  Praise him with the clashes of cymbals, praise him with resounding bells." - Psalms 150:3-5
